In 2014, AXS-TV selected PettyBreakers to perform on its hit television series The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands, where the band performed live at the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood.

16+ Years of Tom Petty Tribute Performances

What began in 2010 as a regional tribute band has grown into a nationally touring Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute. PettyBreakers are known for recreating the sound, energy and spirit of a live Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert. The band has performed in 26 states and Washington, D.C., appearing at performing arts centers, theaters, casinos, clubs, festivals, corporate events and private events throughout the United States.

Major Events & Career Highlights

One of the band's highlights was performing the iconic catalog of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at the Naval Yard in Washington, D.C., in 2018 for Major League Baseball's All-Star Pregame Celebration. Another career highlight was a four-and-a-half-month residency in the Sammy Davis Showroom at Harrah's Casino in Reno, Nevada, in 2017. In 2014, PettyBreakers performed a live show at the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood to a capacity crowd, which was broadcast nationally on AXS-TV.

A Nationally Touring Tom Petty Tribute

Today, PettyBreakers continue to bring the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to audiences across the country. From performing arts centers and casinos to festivals, concert series, corporate events and private celebrations, the band delivers a full-length live concert experience dedicated to the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

This tribute band is comprised of seasoned musicians who recorded with world-renowned artists like the Gin Blossoms, the Rembrandts, Leonard Cohen, the BoDeans, and the Smithereens, to name a few. These talented musicians are Ozzie Mancinelli (guitars/lead vocals) David Zeman (keyboards/vocals/harmonica/acoustic guitar)), John McAllister(lead guitar), Steve Newby / Rafael Gayol (drums/vocals), and Danny Leoni/Severo Jornacion (bass/vocals). Together, the band meticulously recreates the Heartbreakers' signature sound, blending rock, folk, and Americana in a seamless tapestry that mirrors the sonic landscapes Petty was known for. Whether it's the soul-stirring ballads like "Wildflowers" or the rebellious anthems like "I Won't Back Down," the PettyBreakers navigate the vast emotional terrain of Tom Petty's repertoire with unwavering dedication and musical finesse.
